After the optional pre-tours, the official World4Meeting programme begins in Bern. Over four days, participants will experience the city, meet old and new friends, enjoy Swiss hospitality and come together for meetings, celebrations and shared Round Table moments.
The programme combines informal gatherings, local experiences in Bern, Urban Mission, a special World4Gin experience at Matte Brennerei, Nations Night, the official Delegates Meeting at the Museum of Communication, the Gala Night on the Gurten and a Farewell Brunch at the main hotel.
Please note: Some programme details are still being finalised and may be subject to change.
Thursday marks the start of the official World4Meeting programme in Bern.
During the day, participants arrive in Bern, check in at the main meeting area and settle into their hotels around Guisanplatz / BERNEXPO. For those joining the final pre-tour, the day begins with a trip to the Stockhorn in the Bernese Oberland, offering alpine views and fresh mountain air before returning to Bern for the start of the official World4Meeting programme.
In the evening, local members will welcome participants to Home Parties in their private homes — a warm and personal way to experience Swiss hospitality and the Round Table spirit. Later, everyone comes together for the official Get-Together, the first shared gathering of the meeting.
Whether you have joined the pre-tours or are arriving in Bern for the first time, this is the moment where World4Meeting truly begins.
Welcome to Bern — where old friends meet for the first time.
Friday is all about discovering Bern — through teamwork, local flavours and the unique spirit of the city.
The day begins with the Urban Mission, an outdoor escape game through Bern’s old town. Starting near Bern railway station, teams follow clues through the historic city centre, under Bern’s famous arcades and towards the BärenPark. The mission requires strategy, orientation skills, good timing and a sense of adventure — the perfect way to experience Bern from a different perspective. The Urban Mission in Bern is available in English and is played using participants’ own smartphone or tablet; the provider also recommends bringing a printed sheet with key information for the game.
After the mission, participants come together for lunch at Restaurant Mühlirad in Bern’s Matte district. Located at the entrance to the Mattequartier, close to the Bärengraben and the Marzili area, Mühlirad offers a relaxed and charming setting for a shared meal before the afternoon programme continues.
In the afternoon, the programme continues in the Matte Brennerei, a local distillery in the heart of Bern’s Matte district. Since 2016, the distillery has been producing handcrafted spirits with a focus on regionality, sustainability and creativity. Participants will discover the world of gin, learn about botanicals and distilling, and taste selected products from the Matte Brennerei.
As a special highlight, this will be more than a tasting: together, we will create and distil our very own World4Gin — a unique Bernese memory of World4Meeting 2027. The concept builds on the Matte Gin Brennworkshop, where teams develop a gin recipe together, take part in the distilling process and taste the result.
In the evening, everyone comes together for Nations Night — one of the highlights of the meeting. Participants are invited to bring small, easy-to-share local specialities from their home country or region for others to taste. Please bring reasonable quantities only: the idea is to share flavours, stories and traditions — not to create food waste.
Nations Night is a chance to celebrate the diversity of the participating countries, discover new tastes, share traditions and experience a unique introduction to Swiss student fraternity culture in Bern.
From secret missions to shared traditions — this is Bern with a twist.
Saturday brings together the official, cultural and festive sides of World4Meeting 2027.
The morning programme takes place at the Museum of Communication Berne. Delegates will attend the official Delegates Meeting, while partners and non-delegates will have the opportunity to visit the museum and discover the world of communication, media, interaction and human connection.
After the morning programme, everyone comes together again for a shared lunch at Café Pavillon at the museum. This creates a smooth transition from the official meeting to the social part of the day — with time to reconnect, exchange impressions and enjoy Bern together.
The afternoon offers free time to relax, explore the city at your own pace or simply enjoy a coffee with friends old and new.
In the evening, participants gather for the Gala Night on the Gurten, Bern’s local mountain. With views over the city and the surrounding landscape, the Gala marks the festive highlight of the meeting — and celebrates both World4Meeting and 70 years of Round Table spirit in Bern.
As part of the Gala programme, the traditional Banner Exchange will take place — a special moment of friendship, recognition and Round Table tradition. Participants are welcome to bring their table banners for this occasion.
See Further. Go Further.
A day for decisions, discoveries, celebration and friendship.
The final day of World4Meeting 2027 is dedicated to friendship, goodbyes and the memories we take home with us.
After days of encounters, discoveries, celebrations and shared experiences, participants will come together one last time for a Farewell Brunch at the main hotel in Bern. It will be a relaxed moment to look back on the weekend, exchange final hugs, take last photos and make plans to meet again somewhere in the world.
The official programme ends after brunch. Departures can be planned individually from Bern.
The meeting may end in Bern — but the friendships continue.
We look forward to seeing where the next journey takes us.
